Soundwinder is about Discovery
Behind every original song is a songwriter—a person with an idea, an experience, a memory, a story, or simply something they wanted to say through music. SoundWinder was created to give independent songwriters another place to be discovered and another way for listeners to find them.
Rather than trying to build an enormous music directory, SoundWinder features a limited, curated group of independent songwriters. Each featured songwriter receives an introduction where listeners can learn about their background, their approach to songwriting, and the music they're creating. From there, SoundWinder gets out of the way.
We connect visitors directly to the songwriter's own website and music destinations, where they can listen, explore their catalog, follow them, and learn more.
Featured Songwriters
SoundWinder features songwriters seasonally, beginning with our Featured Songwriters — Fall 2026.
Our goal isn't to feature everyone. It's to introduce a manageable number of songwriters at a time and give each of them meaningful visibility.
As SoundWinder grows, new songwriters will be introduced while previous features remain available for listeners to discover.
Independent Music Deserves to Be Discovered
There is an extraordinary amount of original music being created outside the traditional music industry. The challenge isn't always making the music.
Sometimes it's simply being found.
SoundWinder provides another doorway.
You might arrive because you recognize a songwriter. You might discover someone you've never heard before. You might click because a photograph, story, song title, or musical style catches your attention.
That's exactly what SoundWinder is designed to encourage.
Meet a songwriter. Discover a song. Follow the music.
