SoundWinder is building something intentionally small: a curated place where listeners can discover independent songwriters, learn about the people behind the music, and then connect directly with them.

We're not trying to feature thousands of artists. We're looking for interesting songwriters with original music and a story worth sharing.

SoundWinder selects a limited number of Featured Songwriters each season. Keeping the number small allows us to give each songwriter meaningful visibility rather than becoming another enormous directory where artists can easily disappear.

A SoundWinder feature introduces visitors to you, your songwriting, your musical background, and the stories behind the music you create. Your feature can then direct listeners to your own website and the places where you want your music discovered.

SoundWinder welcomes songwriters working across musical styles. Country, rock, Americana, folk, pop, blues, soul, R&B, gospel, inspirational, alternative and other genres can all have a home here.

Genre isn't the deciding factor. We're most interested in original music, authentic songwriting, interesting stories, and songwriters actively sharing their work.

You should have an established online destination—preferably your own website—where SoundWinder can send listeners who want to explore more.

Featured songwriters receive a dedicated SoundWinder profile article introducing their music and story, along with photographs or artwork and links directing visitors to their website and music.

You'll also become part of SoundWinder's seasonal Featured Songwriters collection, giving visitors another opportunity to discover your work alongside other independent songwriters.

And because SoundWinder is built around discovery, the relationship can work both ways. Featured songwriters are encouraged to link back to SoundWinder, helping listeners move between artists and discover music they might otherwise never encounter.

SoundWinder is new, and we're deliberately keeping it that way for now.

We're starting with a handful of songwriters and growing gradually. That gives us the opportunity to learn what works, improve the experience, and maintain the personal, curated approach behind the idea.

Being featured isn't about competing for rankings, streams, or popularity. It's simply another opportunity for someone to find you and your music.

If you're an independent songwriter with original music you'd like us to hear, we'd like to learn more about you.

Tell us who you are, what kind of music you create, where we can hear it, and where listeners can find you online.
