Hadley has been writing songs since childhood, with a musical journey stretching back more than five decades. From singing and recording gospel music in the 1970s to today's growing catalog of original songs, music has remained a continuing thread throughout his life.

A Songwriter Who Doesn't Stay in One Lane
Trying to place Hadley Price Music into a single genre isn't easy—and that's intentional.
His songwriting moves through country and Americana, rock, soul and R&B, gospel and inspirational music, acoustic storytelling, children's music, comedy and satire, along with songs centered on hope and recovery.
Rather than beginning with a genre and trying to write a song that fits inside it, Hadley often starts with the idea or story first. The musical style develops around what that particular story needs.
The result is a catalog where a reflective acoustic song might sit alongside country rock, gospel, blues, comedy or an imaginative children's song. The sound changes, but storytelling remains a common denominator.
Songs Built from Experience
Many Hadley Price songs have roots in real experiences.
Childhood memories in Florida, years spent in the Pacific Northwest, family, relationships, faith, recovery, humor, aging, social observations and encounters with memorable people have all found their way into the music.
Some songs look backward. Others address what's happening today. Some are deeply personal, while others are simply meant to make the listener smile.
And sometimes the inspiration is wonderfully ordinary—a dog, a neighborhood Halloween, an old truck, a conversation, a place remembered or something funny that happened during an otherwise normal day.
That's part of the appeal of songwriting: almost anything can become a song when there's a story hiding inside it.
More Than Five Decades of Making Music
Hadley's connection to music reaches back to his youth. He began writing songs at age 12 and later performed as a lead tenor with the gospel quartet The Trevadors, including touring and recording in Nashville during the 1970s.
Songwriting continued through the decades, even as life and career took him in other directions.
Today, that long musical history has come full circle. Hadley Price Music has grown into a catalog of more than 200 original songs, with new material continuing to be written, produced and released.
Modern music-production technology has also opened a new chapter, allowing ideas and lyrics developed by a songwriter to be explored through arrangements, instrumentation and vocal treatments that would once have required considerable studio resources.
For Hadley, technology isn't the story. The song is. Technology simply provides another set of tools for bringing that song to life.
